The Voices of Flower Mound is a mixed chorus providing continuing musical education and performance experience for people in and around the Flower Mound area who are interested in the enjoyment of choral music and its production. VFM is fun, flexible and open to many levels of ability.
Through the presence and visibility of the group in the community, an endeavor is made to enhance the image of Flower Mound and neighboring communities throughout the North Texas area.
As with all performing arts groups, preparation and delivery of concert that involves expenses. For us, this is the purchase of our sheet music, venue, stage decoration, occasional supplemental musicians (drummer, bass player, etc.), printing of flyers, tickets, and programs, and a modest stipend for our director and accompanist.
The primary mission of the Voices is to:
To promote music appreciation among members and the general public.
To enrich our community through the performance of outstanding vocal music from all traditions.
To reward our audiences with choral programs that elevate, provoke, and entertain.
To inspire excellence in performance by welcoming challenge, discovery, and diversity.
To provide the members and audiences with a musically rewarding and enjoyable experience.
Our vision is a community brought together and enriched by song.
Membership is open to anyone with a musical interest of high school age or older who enjoys singing and is willing to give of their time and talents as necessary to make each concert a source of pride for all members.
