Who We Are
Each year, nearly 13,000 individuals across Texas turn to VOA Texas for Substance Use Treatment, Housing Assistance, Reentry, Employment & Training, Disability Services, Disaster Recovery Services and other support that helps people move toward greater stability and opportunity.
VOA Texas is one of the largest providers of affordable housing, with over 40 housing communities across the state for families facing poverty, our aging neighbors, and individuals facing a disabling mental or physical condition with nowhere safe to turn.
VOA Texas is one of only five organizations in the nation selected to operate the Mothers and Infants Nurturing Together (MINT) Program in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Prisons. This unique program allows eligible incarcerated mothers to spend the final months of pregnancy and the first precious months after birth in a supportive, nurturing environment focused on recovery, parenting, education, and healthy family connection.
Resolana is a VOA Texas’ program that helps women in the Dallas County Jail address the underlying causes of incarceration, including trauma, addiction, and mental health challenges. Through a holistic approach focused on personal growth and long-term success, Resolana gives women the tools and support they need to break cycles of incarceration and create lasting change in their lives.
Here's what your donation will help do:
$1,000 provides rental/mortgage assistance
$500 feeds a senior for a month
$100 provides emergency utility assistance
$50 creates 10 hygiene kits with toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and disinfectant wipes
$25 provides students in need with necessary school supplies
