Fort Worth VFW Post 8235 has been awarded the prestigious designation of an All-American/All-State Post for multiple years in a row! The All-American and All-State designation is reserved only for those VFW Posts who have completed a multitude of VFW mission projects. These projects include, community service activities, veteran services, youth programs, support of military personnel/ families, Gold Star families support, support of homeless Veterans and honoring the past sacrifices of our country's Veterans in time of war. All of this has been accomplished while we are in the process of building our new Post facility.
Notable Accomplishments of Fort Worth VFW Post 8235:
The mission of the Fort Worth Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8235 is to foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts and to serve our veterans, the military and our communities and advocate on behalf of all veterans.
Our Purpose:
Each day U.S. Service Members are coming home to Texas battered and bewildered from what they have experienced in missions overseas. This is especially true given the current situation with the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the numerous anti-terror missions going on in the Middle-East, Africa and around the world. The American general public is largely unaware of these missions. These long durations and multiple deployments away from home and family has put a heavy toll on these service member's life. We here at Fort Worth VFW Post 8235, want to be able to give these veterans and the service members stationed locally a place to call their “home away from home.”
Help Texas Veterans by making a generous donation to VFW Post 8235. Our programs support our service members while they are on the front line, as they are being discharged, and even long after they have returned home.
Your tax-deductible donation will be immediately directed to the local VFW programs where your support is most urgently needed.
No member or officer of VFW Post 8235 receives any form of compensation from donations.
Fort Worth VFW Post 8235 is rich in diversity and innovation, focused on teamwork and service to the community since 1970. Membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars is earned by the sacrifices veterans have made for our country in time of war. Post 8235 is a great place for veterans, their families and area youth organizations.
