Coronavirus has severely disrupted our lives in ways that will have long-term effects on our North Texas community. Teachers and students have been forced out of their classrooms, unemployment is soaring to record levels and our community's health is at risk as we battle this virus.

These issues-education, income and health-are the day-in-day-out work of United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. And this crisis brings their importance into sharp focus. We are more strongly committed to helping build a better future for North Texans than ever before.

In collaboration with community leaders, school districts and 180+ partner organizations, United Way is working quickly and strategically to identify gaps in critical community services, invest in nonprofits on the frontlines, and plan for long-term recovery.

Since mid-March, we have taken immediate action to address the pressing needs of North Texans adversely affected by coronavirus:

- $2.9 million invested
- 216 nonprofit partners supported
- 1,000,000 North Texas lives impacted

Together, we can help more people get back to work, more students get back on track for learning and support health and wellness across North Texas.

Your contribution to the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas Coronavirus Response & Recovery Fund will address immediate and urgent needs of North Texans, as well as longer-term challenges that will affect education, income, and health outcomes across our community. Funds will go to community-based organizations assisting those who have been hit hardest by this pandemic.
