About us:

UNT Health is a premier public academic health science center with six colleges focused on whole health. In addition to its colleges, the university is the proud home to multiple research centers and institutes as well as the UNT Health Clinical Practice Group, which delivers patient-centered care to Tarrant County residents. As a values-based institution, UNT Health  is living out its mission to “create solutions for a healthier community."

UNT Health has an annual enrollment of more than 2,300 students and more than 12,100 alumni. Clinical and community outreach encounters with patients exceed 97,000 annually. The institution provides an annual economic impact of more than $600 million in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

The nearly 1,500 faculty and staff at UNT Health are an integral part of a values-based culture founded on trust and promotes an environment which serves others first and is both visionary and collaborative, ideals which are fostered by integrity and respect.

UNT Health has also been designated as a military-friendly institution for the past 13 years

History

Founded in 1970, UNT Health's Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine anchors what today is one of the nation’s premier graduate academic health centers. Our curriculum is delivered in an interdisciplinary model which closely mirrors real-world clinical settings. Students learn to work in teams and to develop communication skills that are patient centric.

Collaboration is encouraged among the six colleges. In addition to TCOM, UNT Health includes the College of Biomedical and Translational Sciences, the College of Public Health, the UNT System College of Pharmacy, the College of Nursing and the College of Health Professions — home to the departments of Physician Assistant Studies and Physical Therapy.

Clinical Practice

UNT Health Clinical Practice Group, the clinical practice at UNT Health, is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life for people in Tarrant County and beyond. The team at UNT Health Clinical Practice works toward being innovative leaders in efforts to create solutions for a healthier community. Education and research are used to keep patients at the center of care.
