HopeWorks Counseling is a nonprofit Christian counseling center in Plano, Texas, dedicated to restoring hope, strengthening families, and making mental health care accessible to all. For more than two decades, HopeWorks has served individuals, couples, children, and families throughout North Texas by integrating clinically sound therapy with compassionate, faith-informed guidance.
Our team of licensed professional counselors, life coaches, and specialized therapists provides a safe, confidential space for healing from challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, marital and family conflict, self-esteem issues, life transitions, and more. We also offer specialized play therapy for children, helping young clients process emotions in a developmentally appropriate way.
HopeWorks operates both in-person at our Plano office and virtually, making care convenient and flexible. As a nonprofit, we are deeply committed to serving our community—especially those who might not otherwise be able to afford therapy. We believe quality mental health support should be within reach for everyone, and our mission reflects that calling.
As a non-profit organization, HopeWorks Counseling operates with a mission to provide professional counseling services while adhering to a charitable and community-focused model. Being a non-profit implies that the organization’s primary goal is to serve the community and address the needs of individuals, couples, and families without the sole motivation of financial gain.
Across our region, countless individuals and families are facing mental-health challenges without access to the care they desperately need. Barriers such as cost, transportation, long wait times, and lack of insurance keep too many people—children, adults, and seniors alike—from receiving the support that could change their lives.

HopeWorks Counseling
We believe every person bears the image of God and is therefore worthy of care that is competent, compassionate, and actually within reach. In North Texas, mental health care is too often rationed by ZIP code, income, insurance status, and language — and the people most likely to go without are frequently the ones carrying the heaviest burdens.
HopeWorks exists to close that gap. Because we are a nonprofit rather than a private practice, we set fees according to what a person can pay rather than what the market will bear, and we reserve capacity for those who can pay little or nothing. We serve roughly 20 North Texas counties, including rural communities where the nearest licensed counselor may be an hour's drive away, and we provide telehealth so that distance, transportation, work schedules, and caregiving responsibilities are not the reason someone goes untreated.
We welcome and serve people of every race, ethnicity, national origin, age, ability, and economic circumstance, whether or not they share our faith. We are working to build a counseling team that reflects the communities we serve, to expand the languages in which care is available, and to keep listening to the pastors, physicians, schools, and agencies who refer to us about where our care is still hard to reach.
For us, equity is not a position — it is the reason our doors stay open to the people the system prices out.
