We are on a heartfelt mission with two main objectives. Firstly, we are here to provide a final, loving home to end of life senior and hospice dogs who have been abandoned, surrendered by their families, or left after the death of their loved ones. Our commitment includes offering them a soft bed, a warm home, good nutrition, essential medical care, and, most importantly, an abundance of love and affection.
This Ole Dog Rescue is a Texas-based sanctuary inspired by Santiago, who was thrown in the ocean to die, rescued by a fisherman who found him trying to keep his head above water and then set to be euthanized by the humane society. Our sanctuary is a haven for senior dogs, offering them love and comfort, in whatever condition they come to us. We get in immediately to the vet to assess their condition, get them in the best shape we can and let them live our their lives at the sanctuary. Or, we give them palliative care if nothing else can be done and keep them comfortable until they are ready to leave us. Our mission is to provide a loving and safe haven for senior and hospice dogs in need. We believe that every dog deserves a chance to live their golden years in comfort and joy.
Funds for veterinary care, canned and dry food for specialized diets, high impact dog crates for use with our high anxiety dogs when we have to be out doing chores or getting supplies, potty pads, diapers and any specialized equipment to accommodate our seniors.
We work with citizens, shelters and other rescues to house their end of life seniors as room is available
