$10,000 Goal

We have impacted the youth through programming and partnership in schools and libraries throughout DeSoto, Dallas, and McKinney.
We have worked with youth involvement in parades and summer programs.

Our Needs

Currently, we are seeking resources to assist in putting together our summer camp program. The summer camp program entails an 8 week program to train and educate about 40 youth in the performing arts of dance and music. At the end of the camp, our students will have created and put together a full scale performance event that showcases their talent and what they have learned. In addition to the performance training we would hope to also educate on an important concern or issue in our community (ie; women's rights for example).

Mission

At The Joy of Music and Movement, wellbeing is at the forefront of what we're working together towards. Our performing Arts and Event Planning based programs and activities are designed to be a catalyst that helps community members reach their goals and fulfill their potential. Here our youth are the leaders, directors, operators and learners ranging from 10 - 18 years old.
