$20,000 Goal

We have impacted the youth through programming and partnership in schools and libraries throughout DeSoto, Dallas, and McKinney.
We have worked with youth involvement in parades and summer programs.

Our Needs

Currently, we are seeking resources to assist in putting together our summer camp program. The summer camp program entails an 8 week program to train and educate about 40 youth in the performing arts of dance and music. At the end of the camp, our students will have created and put together a full scale performance event that showcases their talent and what they have learned. In addition to the performance training we would hope to also educate on an important concern or issue in our community (ie; women's rights for example).

Mission

At The Joy of Music and Movement, wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. Our performing arts and event planning programs are designed to empower community members to reach their goals and unlock their full potential.

Here, our youth — ages 10 to 18 — are not just participants, but leaders, directors, operators, and lifelong learners. Through creativity, collaboration, and self-expression, they cultivate skills that will shape their futures and strengthen our communities.

Discover the positive impact we are making and join us in inspiring lasting, positive change in communities everywhere.

“Cultivate the youth of the generation and watch the future emerge.”
