At The Storehouse of Blessings Community Outreach, Inc., we equip and empower individuals and families impacted by unexpected life circumstances. Since 2020, we have served Tarrant County residents facing food insecurity, financial hardship, housing instability, and other challenges that can disrupt daily life and household stability.

We understand that a job loss, medical expense, reduction in income, or unexpected crisis can quickly force an individual to choose between food, housing, utilities, and other essential needs. We respond with practical assistance, compassionate support, and connections to community resources that help individuals and families address immediate challenges and move toward greater stability. We meet individuals and families where they are, respond without judgment, and provide compassionate support that helps them work through hardship and regain stability.

According to Feeding America’s latest published county data, 337,350 people in Tarrant County, 15.8% of the population, experience food insecurity. This includes approximately one in five children who may not consistently have access to the food they need.

Behind every statistic is an individual, child, senior, caregiver, or family working to overcome difficult circumstances. Through the support of our donors, volunteers, and community partners, we help ensure that families have access to food, essential supplies, emergency assistance, and trusted community resources when they need them most.

Food Pantry

The Food Pantry helps individuals and families experiencing food insecurity access nutritious groceries and essential food items. Through a drive-through distribution model, participants receive food that may include fresh fruits and vegetables, proteins, grains, pasta, refrigerated foods, frozen foods, and shelf-stable items, based on availability. The program helps families maintain access to food during times of financial hardship while reducing the difficult choices they may face between purchasing groceries and paying for housing, utilities, transportation, medication, and other necessities. Participants are also connected with additional community resources that support greater stability.

Resource Center and Emergency Assistance

The Resource Center supports individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, housing instability, and other urgent needs. Assistance includes limited housing and utility support, eviction prevention resources, emergency financial assistance, and connections to community programs and services. Each situation is carefully considered to help individuals and families address an immediate crisis while identifying practical next steps toward greater stability. Through resource navigation and strong community partnerships, The Storehouse of Blessings Community Outreach, Inc. helps families access services and support that may otherwise be difficult to locate.

Health, Hygiene, and Care 

The Storehouse of Blessings Community Outreach, Inc. provides diapers and wipes for children, along with adult incontinence supplies for seniors, adults with health-related needs, and family caregivers. These essential products can be costly and are not always covered by public assistance programs. Providing access to these supplies supports health, hygiene, comfort, independence, and dignity while reducing financial strain for families and caregivers.
