Mission

Our mission is to provide access, exposure, and opportunity to underserved youth through intentional, high-impact programming that empowers them to pursue higher education and brighter futures.

Needs

Many students in the Dallas–Fort Worth area aspire to attend college but lack access to the resources, exposure, and guidance needed to confidently pursue higher education. For many families, visiting college campuses, traveling for educational experiences, and participating in leadership development opportunities can be financially out of reach.

Without meaningful exposure to college environments and career pathways, students may struggle to see themselves in spaces of higher education and leadership.

The Pay It Forward Project exists to bridge this gap by creating real-world opportunities for students to explore college campuses, connect with mentors, and experience environments that expand their vision for what is possible.

Through programs like the Born to Belong HBCU Tour and future college readiness initiatives, we are helping students gain the confidence, knowledge, and inspiration needed to pursue higher education and build brighter futures.

Equity Statement

The Pay It Forward Project is committed to expanding opportunity for students who have historically had limited access to educational experiences beyond their immediate communities.

We believe that every student deserves the chance to see themselves in spaces of higher learning, leadership, and excellence. Our programs intentionally focus on providing access to students who may not otherwise have opportunities to visit college campuses, travel for educational experiences, or engage in leadership development programs.

By removing financial and exposure barriers, we strive to create experiences that help students recognize their potential, explore new possibilities, and pursue their goals with confidence.

Our work is rooted in the belief that when young people are given access to meaningful opportunities, they can envision and create futures far greater than the circumstances around them.
