The Giving Garden at Jacob's Reward Farm puts healthy food on the tables of our area food-insecure families through local food pantries. Our vegetables, eggs, and poultry are raised without chemicals and with respect for nature's sustainable, regenerative systems. We believe everyone, including food pantry clients, deserve fresh, nutrient-dense food, grown with integrity.
And now, we're focused on teaching our food recipients how to eat better: how to store, cook, prepare, and preserve that healthy food so that none of the robust nutritional value goes to waste.
We're working on producing farm signage and educational materials to distribute with our food that teaches valuable culinary skills, and challenges people to try new things! These materials will support people of all cultures, educational backgrounds, ages, and tastes to eat better! As always your support helps us grow fresh vegetables, eggs, and pasture raised chicken for local food pantries across North Texas. We raise a bit of our own capital by selling some of our amazing pasture-fresh chickens four times per year.
The farm is also a place where people from every background and walk of life work side by side. Students discover where food comes from. Volunteers learn new skills. Families spend time together outdoors. New friendships begin while planting, harvesting, building, and serving.

Success at The Giving Garden looks like sending families home from the food pantry with fresh-from-the-garden vegetables, eggs, and meat. It insists on honoring God's natural, sustainable systems of growing in the soil. It looks like strangers becoming friends while planting and harvesting. It looks more and more like the world was intended to look--peaceful, nourished, connected, and loved.
Your generous donations help move the mission forward in these ways:
$20,000 - research, design, and deliver educational materials about practical practices that improve family nutrition. This also funds a part-time salary for a qualified intern to oversee the project.
$15,000 - Upgrading our growing spaces with improved irrigation and shade solutions.
$5,000 - Paid part-time intern to help with garden development, compost maintenance, and animal care, and to get hands-on experience with regenerative agricultural practices.
