Emergency crisis pet boarding for families and humane colony stabilization through TNVR.
The Texoma Center for Sustainable Welfare (TCSW) is the only organization in the Texoma region providing crisis-safe pet boarding for families experiencing domestic violence, medical emergencies, homelessness, or incarceration.
We also humanely manage regional cat populations by providing regular TNVR services and direct relief to overwhelmed seniors, families, and local citizens caring for community colonies.
As demand grows across our 100% volunteer-led operation, we urgently need support for: Emergency Boarding Capacity: Funding to secure temporary housing slots so no family is forced to choose between safety and the animals they love.
Complete TNVR Medical Slots: Financial backing to cover spay/neuter surgeries, full vaccinations, flea/worm treatments, and preventative antibiotic shots to stabilize local colonies.
Supplies & Care Essentials: Food, crates, trapping equipment, bedding, cleaning supplies, and emergency veterinary care for animals in our care.
Transportation & Field Assistance: Fuel and transport logistics to safely move animals during crises and assist caretakers with trapping.
Rapid-Response Funds: Instant-action funding that allows us to step in immediately the moment shelters, hospitals, law enforcement, or community members call for help.

The Texoma Center for Sustainable Welfare (TCSW) is deeply committed to providing equitable, trauma-informed crisis support and community animal welfare services across Collin, Fannin, Grayson, and Cooke Counties.
Sudden life disruptions, such as domestic violence, homelessness, medical emergencies, and incarceration, disproportionately impact BIPOC communities, low-income households, LGBTQ2+ individuals, and people with disabilities. Historically, a lack of accessible pet accommodations has excluded these marginalized families from entering shelters, accessing healthcare, or utilizing emergency services. By providing judgment-free, crisis-safe pet boarding, we directly remove these systemic barriers so every person can seek safety and stability without being forced to permanently surrender the animals they love.
Furthermore, we recognize that systemic inequities deeply affect community animal management. Overwhelmed senior citizens, low-income families, and marginalized residents frequently lack the financial resources, physical mobility, or veterinary access required to manage outdoor cat populations. This creates immense financial, physical, and emotional strain on caretakers who are left to struggle alone. TCSW brings equitable relief straight to these neighborhoods by providing regular, barrier-free Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) services and comprehensive medical care (including full vaccinations, flea/worm treatments, and antibiotic shots) at zero cost to the community.
Our approach centers dignity, cultural responsiveness, and inclusive practices. We partner with local domestic violence shelters, hospitals, social workers, law enforcement, and regional grassroots groups to ensure our safety net is accessible to all. At TCSW, we believe that pets are family, community health belongs to everyone, and every resident deserves support, safety, and recovery free from discrimination or systemic barriers.
