Texas All Creatures Rescue — Four Years of Lifesaving Service

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page and supporting Texas All Creatures Rescue. We are proudly marking our fourth anniversary as a foster-based 501(c)(3) rescue rooted in North Central Texas.

Over the past four years, we’ve grown from a handful of dedicated individuals responding to profound community need into a trusted refuge for animals in crisis. With overcrowded shelters, persistently low spay/neuter rates, and surging owner surrenders, the situation remains urgent.

The Dire Reality in Texas and Nationwide

  • Texas leads the nation in shelter deaths: in 2024, shelters euthanized approximately 86,000 adoptable cats and dogs.
  • Despite this, more than 75% of shelter pets in Texas were saved last year.
  • Nationally in 2024: ~5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters; ~4.2 million were adopted, while ~607,000 were euthanized—a decline from previous years but still too high.
  • The national euthanasia rate has decreased from 13% in 2019 to 8% in 2024.

These figures reflect progress—but they also underscore an overwhelming challenge. Every number represents an animal that deserved a chance.

The Perfect Storm—and How We Respond

Economic strain continues to drive owner surrenders. Rising living costs, housing constraints, and soaring veterinary and food prices have left too many families unable to care for pets.

In spite of the odds, through our collective dedication:

  • We have rescued and rehomed over 500+ animals with loving families.
  • Our Community Outreach Program has supported 150+ local dogs, positively impacting families and individuals in need.

Why a Facility Matters

Foster care is invaluable—but to make an even greater impact, we need a dedicated shelter space:

  • A facility with individual runs, temperature-controlled play areas, and large outdoor spaces—where dogs can learn to be dogs again.
  • A welcoming environment for adopters to connect personally with animals.
  • On-site veterinary care and community education—everything from spay/neuter services to behavioral training workshops.

Community Healing—and Long-Term Change

Our mission goes beyond rescuing animals. We believe in empowering our community through education, advocacy, and hope:

  •  On-site veterinary care and training for dog owners and fosters.
  •  Public programming to shift behavior and increase awareness.
  •  Building a network of people committed to animal welfare—so we can truly end pet homelessness, together.

The Cost of Saving Lives

Here’s a breakdown of how your generosity helps one animal at a time:

$40   will pay to vaccinate one adult dog against Parvo/Distemper and Kennel Cough
$45   will pay to have one dog microchipped
$55   will pay to have one dog heartworm tested and one month of heartworm prevention
$150   will pay to have a small dog spayed/neutered
$500-$1100  will pay for life-saving heartworm treatment for a dog
$700-$2200  will pay for Orthopedic surgery on an injured dog

Every dollar brings us closer to saving more lives and transforming more futures.

From all of us at Texas All Creatures Rescue—THANK YOU. We couldn’t do this work without the compassion, time, and support of people like you.

Together, in our fourth year and beyond, we’ll keep building hope—for animals and the people who love them.

Giving Activity

Mission

To inspire like-minded & compassionate individuals to aid in the rescue, recovery & outreach of creatures in need.

Needs

We rely 100% on volunteers. We always need people to volunteer to be a foster for medium to large-breed dogs.

Our first phase of expansion will be to install 6-8ft fencing around the property. We currently waiting for a quote on price.

The dog stalls we want to purchase and install cost $2898 for a section of four. https://k9-kennelstore.com/4-x-8-multiple-pro-full-stall-dog-kennels-x4.html

In addition to fosters, we are looking to recruit a talented person to be our social media coordinator as well as a grant writer.

Equity Statement

Our approach to diversity is simple – it’s about embracing everyone from any background and coming together to work towards a common goal of doing what is right for the pet. All Creatures - Two legs or four.
