$10,000 Goal

Texas 2036 is a nonprofit organization building long-term, data-driven strategies to secure Texas’ continued prosperity for years to come. We engage Texans and their leaders in an honest conversation about our future, focusing on the big challenges. We offer non-partisan ideas and modern solutions grounded in research and data to break through the gridlock on issues that matter most to all Texans. Innovative strategies and systematic changes are critical to prepare Texas for the future.

Texas 2036 focuses on six "root cause" areas that most significantly impact the success and well-being of Texans: education and workforce, health, infrastructure, natural resources, justice and safety, and government performance. We bring key stakeholders together to research, develop, and advocate for data-driven policy solutions that meet our state's biggest challenges, focusing both on clear, short-term objectives that will bring immediate benefit to Texans and long-term strategies that position Texas for the future.

Mission

The mission of Texas 2036 is to enable Texans to make policy decisions through accessible data, long-term strategic policy planning, and statewide engagement to ensure Texans' wellbeing and economic prosperity through our state's bicentennial in 2036 and beyond.

Equity Statement

Texas 2036 is committed to advancing the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion both in its external efforts and internal practices. While Texas 2036 is a relatively new organization, we have done significant early work to ensure that diversity, equity, and inclusion are foundational to our internal policies and practices. First, recognizing that Texas is one of the most diverse places in the United States (and indeed, the world), we have identified “Diversity” and “Opportunity” as two of our five organizational values. This has manifested most clearly in the assembly of our Board of Directors, which we have striven to represent the racial, ethnic, gender, political, and geographical diversity of our state. We have, and continue to, seek out candidates of diverse identities and backgrounds as we work to assemble our staff.
