We provide services to wildlife and citizens of North Texas and the DFW Metroplex - we are often the first responder to individuals who find wildlife in need. As nonprofit wildlife rehabilitators, we provide care to injured, ill, and orphaned wild animals and assist area residents with human/wildlife conflicts. Our organizational goals and mission focus on the conservation of species, conflict resolution, and public education.

We are a 100% volunteer organization and our members and volunteers have a passion for wildlife and are ambassadors between wildlife and the public. We work to humanely resolve human/animal conflicts. Wildlife rehabilitation is not a 9 to 5 job - it is 24/7!

The cost of wildlife rehabilitation spans from emergency intake all the way through release with specialty diets. Many of the animals our rehabilitators receive require medical treatment and/or veterinary care. We rely on donations to continue our work - we need you! Your donation provides much-needed assistance to our rehabbers. We appreciate your help in caring for North Texas wildlife!

Our Needs

TMWR Wishlist: Fox Valley Nutrition formula, vaccines, weaning foods, caging, medical and cleaning supplies.

In addition to supplies, we need manpower to care for our babies and carry out the support activities that keep our organization running smoothly. We are a 100% volunteer organization made up of approximately 80 members. Every year we take in over 1500 animals and this number keeps rising. Some of the volunteer opportunities include foster parenting of the orphaned wildlife babies we intake, clerical, transport, special projects like cage and nesting box building, release teams, outreach and education, media, and fundraising.

Another key element is our focus on increasing awareness and educating the public about the needs of our urban wildlife. Through our outreach program and educational classes, we strive to reduce wildlife conflicts between the public and their wildlife neighbors.

We provide a service to our community by being the first responder to individuals who find wildlife in need. Often times we are able to reassure and guide people on the best-case scenario which is to reunite mothers and babies. On other occasions, not only we take care of the wildlife but also form connections with the good Samaritans that have rescued injured wildlife.

Mission

Our primary mission is the rehabilitation and subsequent release of ill, injured, orphaned, or displaced native Texas wildlife back to their natural habitats.
