SWAN Impact Network

SWAN Impact Network (SWAN) is a 501c3 non-profit that educates and supports entrepreneurs in Dallas and across the nation. Our thriving Dallas chapter supports local entrepreneurs in their young social and environmental impact companies by connecting them with investors and local accelerators. From pre-seed to seed startups, we invest exclusively in social and environmental impact companies seeking to address significant societal challenges. We invest in women and people of color, two groups who have been historically excluded from support by investors.

Did you know that women founders received less than 2% of total start-up funding in 2021? And that founders of color only received 1.2% of total start-up funding? Funding for underrepresented entrepreneurs in the U.S. remains woefully small. SWAN beats the national average with 55% of our investments going to these underrepresented founders. SWAN is committed to building a pipeline on the front end.

Your gift to SWAN will help us make a positive change by encouraging the success of founders who are making a positive change in the world -- including founders who historically have received minimal investment -- by providing access to impact investors, education, mentorship, and knowledge of accelerators that can help these startups achieve greater success. 

Our impact focus includes:

• Environment: slowing climate change, conserving natural resources, and mitigating environmental damage
• Health and Wellness: reducing healthcare costs, improving access for underserved populations, and advancing health outcomes 
• Economic Empowerment: supporting diverse and disadvantaged populations
• Education: improving educational outcomes for investors, entrepreneurs and at large. 

SWAN is cultivating a diverse and driven cohort of entrepreneurs who are striving to make change on the frontiers of environment, healthcare, economic empowerment, and education. We support underrepresented founders throughout their journeys, specifically helping them to leverage their extraordinary skills and unique experiences.

SWAN is investing in entrepreneurs working to slow down climate change or mitigate environmental damage.

Dr. Ugwen Enyeo, founding CEO of Shyft Power Systems, is working to integrate green power into Nigeria, where half of the country’s total power comes from  privately-owned generators. (pictured left)

SWAN is investing in entrepreneurs who are working to address social or economic inequalities.

Danny Corprew, founder of Scriptly Rx, is working to reduce the amount paid for prescription drugs by under-insured or uninsured patients, who may need to decide between buying groceries, paying rent or obtaining needed medications. (pictured right)

You will enable SWAN to support portfolio companies with resources and mentorship to achieve outstanding results in the impact sphere. We recognize that women founders and start-up founders of color have been underfunded by the startup investment community.
