Did you know…

Research shows that strong school leadership and high-quality teaching are the two most important factors in improving student achievement.

Why is educator development critical?

Every child has unlimited potential, and every educator deserves the tools and support to help students realize it. Many teachers and leaders are working hard to help students close gaps, and are shouldering the complex responsibility of teaching and leading in an ever-changing environment.

We work side-by-side with teachers, principals, and district teams to support them to strengthen daily instruction, customize high-quality curriculum, and build leadership pipelines that last. Since 2021, we have trained and coached over 1,500 teachers, developed 400 leaders, and supported 30+ schools, impacting more than 145,000 students across Texas and beyond.

Our approach is grounded in research and proven in practice: focused coaching, high-touch partnership, and evidence-based strategies that accelerate student learning and teacher growth. By investing deeply in today’s educators, we are also changing trajectories of students and communities.

Our partners are creating schools where teachers feel capable, leaders feel supported, and students have the opportunity to succeed, every single day.

Where Your 2025 North Texas Giving Day Gift Drives Immediate Impact:

This year, 100% of donations will be allocated to fund two critical programs:

Aspiring Leaders Program (ALP): Great principals transform schools, and there is no loneindividual more impactful on the outcomes of an entire campus. In fact, research shows a highly prepared principal can add nearly 3 additional months of learning in reading and math on average for every student on their campus. With your support, SustainED invests in the high-touch, evidence-based coaching of future principals through ALP. Over 250 alumni are now serving as campus and district leaders nationwide, directly driving student outcomes, year after year.

Accelerated Teacher Development: A high-quality teacher changes the trajectory of a child’s life.  Your investment helps fund the weekly coaching and support for 1,000 amazing teachers in districts and campuses reaching 35,000 students throughout DFW, helping students gain mastery of critical reading and math gaps so that all can reach their full academic potential.

GUIDING PRINCIPLES

Our Organization:
We aim to cultivate a collaborative workplace where team members work together with trust and accountability. We encourage every member of our team to reflect on how their personal experiences shape their approach to problem-solving and relationship-building. As we grow together, we are committed to building effective systems, strengthening professional capacity, and modeling a culture of continuous improvement that helps our organization serve schools and students with excellence and integrity.

Our Engagement in Learning:
We design learning experiences that support educators in meeting the needs of all students. SustainED Leaders encourages all participants in our programs to engage in professional growth that deepens their understanding of how to support strong academic and personal outcomes for every student. We believe that professional development is most effective when it fosters a sense of shared purpose, respect, and collaboration—allowing educators to learn from one another and strengthen their ability to lead schools where every child can succeed.

Our Community of Leaders:
We support a growing network of education leaders who are committed to building impactful school cultures and raising achievement for all students. Our work helps leaders draw on their strengths, build authentic connections, and shape school environments that support both adults and children in reaching their full potential. We value the ideas and experiences that each educator brings to our programs and believe those contributions are essential to building successful schools.

Our Approach to Design:
We continuously study and integrate research-informed practices into our program design, drawing insights from educators, leaders, and communities from across the country. We believe that educational materials and approaches should reflect the needs of the students they serve, and we are committed to ongoing evaluation and refinement of our programs to ensure they are relevant, effective, and responsive to the challenges schools face today.

This statement represents our current commitment to excellence in education. As our organization and the broader education landscape continue to evolve, we will review and adapt our strategies to ensure they remain effective, inclusive, and focused on preparing all students for success.
