Our program reaches children and families from the Allen, Plano, McKinney, Murphy, Frisco and Melissa areas. We have been in ministry for over 40 years serving thousands of families and their children. We are a faith-based, play-based early childhood program for children ages 2-6. We offer classes 2-4 days per week in a nurturing, positive, age-appropriate, and stimulating environment. We became our own entity in 2013 changing from being under the umbrella of St. Jude Catholic Church to a private, non-profit preschool. We partner closely with St. Jude and are extremely grateful for all of their support!
Our philosophy of teaching young children is to encourage them to be creative, to learn new things, and to wonder about their world. We offer many hands-on activities that utilize students' problem-solving skills, five senses and imagination. Our staff is innovative in their approach to teaching using best practices of developmentally appropriate activities to teach concepts and skills. The children especially enjoy Specials rotations of Music, Spanish, STEAM lab and STEAM enrichment. Our goal is for the children to develop a love of learning and enter elementary education with a solid foundation.
Since becoming our own entity, we have been able to financially help children attend Sunshine & Rainbows through the Angel scholarship program. To date those scholarships have equaled over $65,000.

The mission of Sunshine and Rainbows Early Learning Center is to provide a Christ-centered, safe, and creative environment that nurtures the whole child. Our preschool encourages compassion for others and supports a love of learning while fostering the intellectual, spiritual, social, emotional, and physical growth and development of children.
