Sudie PTA Lion Pride 2025

Support Lion Pride! Working in conjunction with North Texas Giving Day, Lion Pride is the largest annual fundraising initiative for the Sudie PTA. Your support will help us positively impact the overall educational experience of Sudie TAG students during the 2025/2026 school year. Our goal is to raise $75,000. Money raised through Lion Pride funds went to: 

How to get involved: help us hit $75k Lions! 

• GIVE: Click the "Donate" button above to give directly online. North Texas Giving Day is September 18th but early giving begins September 1st and all giving through this site counts towards meeting our goal.  We will also be accepting cash or checks in person at the school.  We hope to have 100% participation by our Sudie families at an amount that is personally significant to each individual family!
• SET UP A FUNDRAISING PAGE: Get your students involved by helping them set up a Fundraising Page to be shared with family & friends via email, text, or social media! Click the "Fundraise" button above to get started & set a meaningful fundraising goal for your own page. 
• COIN WARS: Nothing like a friendly House competition! In 2023 & 2024, our House Coin Wars raised $4,500 total! Coin Wars will begin Monday, September 8 - which House will win this year?  House free dress days and a pizza party to be awarded to the winning House. 
• COMPANY MATCHING: Company matches are awesome! Don't forget to check if your employer matches your North Texas Giving Day donation or email sudie.tag.gives@gmail.com if you are interested in setting up a matching fund.  

Donations of $200 or more will receive a "Lion Pride 2025 Supporter" yard sign. Donations of $500 or more will receive public recognition and acknowledgment on our "Lions Circle" donor board.

Sudie TAG has been educating 4th through 8th graders for six years as a Dallas Independent School District (DISD) Talented & Gifted Academy.  We are so proud to celebrate our milestones achieved along the way:

• Ranked #6 Texas elementary school & # 5 Texas middle school by U.S. News & World Report (2025), 
• Academic & Competitive Achievements: Sudie students excelled at the state level across multiple disciplines—Destination Imagination teams advanced to State, 30+ students qualified for the TMSCA State Championship (placing 7th in Science, 8th in Calculator), Debate Team earned top speaker awards with a 3rd place State finish, Lone Star Challenge placed 3rd, and the new Aerial Drone Club won a coding award and qualified for an out-of-state competition.
• Leadership, Service & School Spirit: NJHS completed over 1,000 service hours, 60+ students participated in Cheer, 9 sports teams were formed including a friendly soccer match with Travis, and plans are underway to send a team to Chess Nationals next year in Round Rock.
• Outstanding accomplishments for Sudie sports teams, including basketball, flag football, cheer, soccer, volleyball, track & field, tennis, & lacrosse, 
• With more achievements and accolades coming each year!

Why give to Lion Pride through North Texas Giving Day? North Texas Giving Day is an online giving event designed to empower people to give back to their community by supporting local causes they care about in an easy-to-use platform.  By partnering with North Texas Giving Day, Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) and its partners ensure that all resources, transaction fees and technology fees related to this campaign are covered.  This means that 100% of every online gift made during the North Texas Giving Day season (September 1 through September 18) goes directly to benefit Sudie TAG!        

Does it matter when I give? Our site is live and ready to accept donations now.  However, in order to maximize the total dollars received by the Sudie PTA, the best time to give is during the North Texas Giving Day season (September 1 through September 18) when CFT covers all fees related to the campaign.  Please give whenever you are ready! 

As a public school, isn't Sudie TAG funded through tax dollars?  Yes, but the reality is that there are many special activities and programs for students and teachers that enrich the overall educational experience at Sudie TAG that require additional funding.  This is where donations to Sudie PTA come in to support impactful initiatives like the ones listed above.       

Is there a suggested donation level? For Sudie PTA to provide the desired supplemental enrichment programming and opportunities at Sudie TAG for the 2025/2026 school year, the suggested donation is $150 per student. Of course, that is merely a guideline, and ANY donation of any amount helps get to our goal.
