Sudie PTA Lion Pride 2026

Lion Pride is Sudie PTA's annual fundraising campaign and the largest contributor to our 26/27 operating budget. Sudie serves 4th through 8th grade students as a Dallas Independent School District (DISD) Talented and Gifted Academy.

Support Lion Pride! Lion Pride is an easy way for every Sudie family, friend, and community member to contribute towards programs and activities to make the 26/27 school year awesome! Sudie's Lion Pride fundraising campaign uses the North Texas Giving Day (NTGD) platform and runs concurrently with the NTGD season -- meaning you can give any time during the three-week period beginning August 27th through September 17th! NTGD and its partners cover all transaction and technology fees related to this campaign so 100% of every online gift made during the NTGD season goes directly to benefit Sudie! 

We are SUDIE, we are ONE! Together, we can reach our Lion Pride goals of raising $100,000 and having 100% participation by every Sudie family at an amount that is personally significant to them. Funds raised above PTA's budget will go toward outfitting a new GT lab at Sudie, a place where students can go during free time and recess. Our 2025 Lion Pride campaign raised over $95,000, and we are aiming to exceed that amount this year! 

For Sudie PTA to provide the desired supplemental programming and opportunities at Sudie for the 26/27 school year, we need to raise approximately $225 per student. Of course, that is merely a guideline. ANY donation of ANY amount helps!

We are tracking participation by grade level so if you can list the names of your student(s) when you make your donation it would really help us out!  Alternatively, students may (but are not required to) create their own personalized Fundraising Page by clicking the "Fundraise" button above, which can be shared with family and friends who want to support our amazing school! 

Please note that the NTGD site will automatically add a default percentage fee to your donation, but you may alter that percentage to any amount you feel appropriate, including 0%. Don’t let fees stop you from donating!

COIN WARS are back! This friendly House competition is on for a fourth year—let’s see if we can beat the record $3,000 raised in 2023! Coin Wars will begin Monday, September 7th. Which House will win this year?

Check Out our Recent Accolades & Achievements! We're proud to recognize the many successes of our school and our students over the past year, including:

• Ranked #5 Texas elementary school & # 3 Texas middle school by U.S. News & World Report (2025-26)
• Top marks from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in 2026, including an overall A rating (98 out of 100 points) and 7 out of 7 distinctions--that's an A rating 6 years in a row! 
• Destination Imagination teams advanced to State, and the Fuzzy Boba Penguin team advanced to Global Finals, where they placed 11th out of 27 teams
• The Chess Team placed 1st at the US Chess Federation National Middle School Championship, with the Unrated team placing 1st, the U700 team placing 7th, and individual players placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in their divisions
• Debate Team placed 2nd at the National Speech & Debate Tournament and also earned the top two speaker awards in the Middle School Policy Debate division
