Founded in February 2024 by Melda Melly and Anadja Tamofo, Stillness In Selah began as a shared vision between two young women with a heart to build up a Christ-centered community in a unique and meaningful way. What started with just five women at our very first gathering has grown into a thriving sisterhood of more than 50 women across the DFW metroplex and beyond through additional virtual initiatives! Each day, our community continues to grow in many ways, and through our program initiatives we remain committed to uplifting and serving more sisters as time goes on. Giving Activity

Mission

We are a faith based organization dedicated to educating & empowering young women to grow in all aspects of their lives.

Needs

We are seeking funding, donations, in-kind support, and partnerships to sustain and grow our programs. Financial contributions help cover program expenses and provide reduced-cost opportunities for participants. In-kind support such as venues, materials, refreshments, and professional services enhance the quality of our events, while partnerships with local organizations, experts, and businesses expand opportunities and strengthen our community impact.

Equity Statement

At Stillness In Selah (SIS), we believe every young woman deserves the tools, support, and community needed to thrive in all aspects of her life: spiritually, mentally, physically, socially, and professionally. Guided by our faith in Christ, our mission, and vision, we recognize that inequities and barriers often limit access to opportunities, resources, and encouragement.

We are committed to breaking down those barriers by creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where all women feel valued and empowered. Through intentional programs, partnerships, and mentorship, we equip young women to step confidently into their God given potential.

As these women grow stronger, they create ripple effects of change by uplifting one another, strengthening communities, and shaping a better world. The impact of their growth will be witnessed firsthand, as the betterment of each woman leads to lasting transformation in the lives of those around her.
