ST. PHILIP & ST. AUGUSTINE CATHOLIC ACADEMY

$33,632 raised by 177 donors

In 2015, St. Philip and St. Augustine schools were combined to form present-day St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy (SPSA). As the sole Catholic elementary and middle school south of Interstate 30 (I-30) and east of Interstate 35E (I-35E), SPSA plays a vital role in addressing the persistent unmet educational needs in our area. SPSA is driven by a strong directive to expand its reach and provide a safe, rigorous, faith-based education to more families in our community, particularly in an area where SPSA is the only proven option for success. At SPSA,

  • we recognize that parents are the primary educators of their children and equip them to support their children's educational journeys.
  • we provide programs to ensure our students develop fully in the spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional domains.
  • we empower our students to be self-advocates, critical thinkers, productive moral citizens, and spiritual leaders.
  • we endeavor to make the SPSA experience possible for all high-achieving, future world changers, regardless of financial means.

Become a catalyst of transformation as we sculpt brighter horizons!

Mission

St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy promotes Gospel values, inspires a love of learning, and upholds academic excellence in a nurturing community.

Needs

Did you know that SPSA is self-funded? SPSA's unique status means that we rely on the generosity of individuals to sustain our commitment to excellence. Without parish financial support, we turn to individuals like you to make a lasting impact. Your support isn't just an investment in education; it's an investment in our community's future leaders.

The time is now. Join us in shaping brighter futures! Last year, our supporters came together to set a new NTX Giving Day record, and now, as we begin a new academic year, we seek your investment in our students to set another.

At SPSA, we believe that economic circumstances should never limit a child's access to a transformative Catholic education.

Contributions to SPSA on NTX Giving Day are a lifeline for our Annual Fund. Your involvement ripples across every facet of Academy life. From nurturing a holistic learning environment to dismantling financial barriers, empowering parents, and fostering teacher growth - your support is a testament to shared aspirations. Join us as we script a legacy of empowerment.

Our top funding priorities are:

💜- Sustainability for SPSA

💜- Support for Teacher Salaries

💜- Removing Tuition Barrier

💜- Classes for Parents

WHO WE ARE

St. Philip & St. Augustine Catholic Academy was formed in response to the Diocesan Blueprint for Excellence, in order to provide students in Southeast Dallas with an excellent, rigorous, whole-child education. Many of the families we serve would not be able to afford a Catholic education if not for tuition assistance. The cost to educate a student at SPSA is $8,530 and our tuition is set at $5,750. We rely on grants and donors to fill the gap so that we can continue to provide our students with opportunities they would not otherwise receive.

ACADEMY MODEL

The Academy Model serves Catholic Students from all parishes, as well as non-Catholics, and is operated as a standalone non-profit organization. Leadership is provided by a Principal and a school board that serves at the pleasure of the Bishop of the Diocese of Dallas.
