$50,000 Goal

Founded in 2021, Spin the Spectrum is a non profit organization that is dedicated to the Active inclusion of Autistic and Neurodivergent individuals in society. We do this by providing inclusive DJ classes, camps, and workshops to special needs individuals of all ages and skill levels.

We know that EVERYONE has something important to share and value in this world. We also know sharing is a lot easier when the people around you understand that just because someone is different, doesn’t mean they can’t be included in something cool!

Spin the Spectrum supports the Active Inclusion of Autistic/Neurodivergent individuals in the following ways:

  • We provide Inclusive DJ Education camps & classes aimed at teaching marketable skills to increase opportunities for employment and inclusion in neurotypical society.
  • We provide Inclusive Music Production camps & classes aimed at teaching marketable skills to increase opportunities for employment and inclusion in neurotypical society.
  • We provide equipment rental, management and booking services for Autistic/Neurodivergent individuals trained in DJ Education and/or music production looking to gain employment.
  • We work with the scientific community to study the effects of our programs in order promote the  de-pathologizing of autistic individuals.

Mission

Spin the Spectrum is dedicated to the advancement of Autistic/Neurodivergent Inclusion, Advocacy and Allyship in both Society and the Scientific Community.

Needs

At Spin the Spectrum, we are dedicated to the advancement of Autistic/Neurodivergent Inclusion, Advocacy and Allyship in both Society and the Scientific Community.

Autistic and neurodivergent individuals often struggle in social situations and routinely report feeling isolated from others in their community. Our mission at Spin the Spectrum is to improve the quality of life of autistic and neurodivergent people through inclusive DJ classes and vocational programs.

By learning to DJ, an Autistic or neurodivergent person learns a valuable life skill and gains a way to become part of their community.

DJ's often carry the lightest social load at an event but are included and important parts of any social event. The ability to be a valued member of their community is life changing for someone on the Autism spectrum. At Spin the Spectrum, we're changing lives through music, technology and inclusion.

This year, during North Texas Giving Day, we are launching our Rock with Inclusion '22 campaign! Come rock with us and help us reach our goal of $50,000 on September 22rd to help us fulfill our mission and improve the quality of life of autistic and neurodivergent people through inclusive DJ classes and vocational programs.

Your donation will not only demonstrate your commitment to our cause but encourage other donors to rise to the challenge! Can we count on your support this year to help us continue to Rock with Inclusion?

We greatly appreciate your support of our organization!
