Since 1996, SouthFair has developed projects directed at commercial, multifamily, single family and senior development. Our commercial project was the development of a 6,000 square feet medical facility in the heart of South Dallas. Baylor currently operates this facility as a family medical center under a 15-year lease. SouthFair, in collaboration with Bank of America, developed Eban Village Apartments which consist of 350+ units for low to moderate income families. In addition, SouthFair has developed a senior citizen apartment project under HUD 202 PRAC Program which consists of 28 senior units. Since 2007 SouthFair has focused on single family development. We have assembled and built a site of 40 single family houses and townhomes.
SouthFair has had many successes with implementing community based programs. SouthFair has operated with federal government assisted projects to promote public safety and youth mentoring.
SouthFair can only continue its long legacy of revitalizing the South Dallas community through fundraising efforts.
Post Purchase Counseling -
SouthFair is currently in need of funds to continue to expand our housing counseling services which includes post purchase counseling. Now that we have a larger number of low and moderate individuals and families that are homeowners we want to make sure they stay homeowners. Having readily available post purchase counseling in the community not only provides great accessibility but will help to reduce the number of foreclosures therefore not reversing the great work SouthFair is doing in the community. In addition homeowners will gain knowledge on homeowner maintenance and investing in themselves. They will be provided the knowledge to continue to improve their lives with a sense of financial empowerment and wealth building. Furthermore, SouthFair is in need of funds to simply allow for our small staff to stay afloat to continue to address the concerns of the community. SouthFair has a solid foundation in the community that we want to continue to thrive in the best and worst of economic times.
SouthFair's Senior Care-
SouthFair continues to work to implement community resources that would provide a care service that provides assistance in improving senior's quality of life and access to essential services. We currently are in need of funds to continue and even expand the opportunities for seniors to attend health and cultural events along with other various leisurely outings and workshops designed to keep them abreast of senior-related issues.
In addition it takes time for developments to come to fruition. The donations will also help keep SouthFair afloat during the pre-development phases. If donations exceed expectations we anticipate using the additional funds to also help with providing additional homebuyer subsidies (i.e.assistance with closing costs)

Everyone deserves to feel protected. SouthFair makes that possible by revitalizing a community with affordable housing which benefits low- to moderate-income families. Although SouthFair services predominately people of color, we are committed to revitalizing South Dallas by giving everyday people opportunities at homeownership and protection.
