Needs
DEMENTIA-FRIENDLY MAGAZINE
We create and produce Joyful Memories, a dementia-friendly magazine. Thanks to a generous grant from the AWARE Fund at The Dallas Foundation, we have distributed thousands of magazines free of charge to people in Dallas and Collin counties.
We need additional funding to:
1. Produce new issues of Joyful Memories.
Launching a new issue (design, writing, photo rights, and initial print run of 750 copies) costs about $5,000.
After we produced "The Dogs Issue," a cat-lover from North Richland Hills, Texas, generously donated $5,000, allowing us to publish "The Cats Issue." That donation is bringing joy to people living with dementia, helping them connect with memories and emotions, as well as with family and friends.
2. Your gift of $80 allows us to give 20 magazines to a care home to share with their residents.
3. Your gift of $7,000 allows us to distribute 3,000 copies of our latest issue free of charge to people in North Texas living with dementia.
SINGALONGS
We have presented hundreds of singalong shows in North Texas. We want to train and equip volunteer singalong leaders to present more shows for more people.
1. Your gift of $500 could pay for speakers, microphones, tablets, TVs, and other equipment used to present our interactive singalong shows.
2. Your gift of $50 allows us to create a custom recording and a new video for use in our singalong shows.
