Song Dog Watch is a North Texas nonprofit dedicated to protecting wild carnivores, especially coyotes, through community education, ethical wildlife rescue and compassionate coexistence.

Founded by wildlife conservation photographers Karin and Roberto Saucedo, we bring together hands-on wildlife care and grassroots education to build understanding and reduce conflict with some of Texas’ most misunderstood native species.. From responding to calls about displaced coyote pups to hosting community coexistence workshops, our work is grounded in science, empathy and respect for both wildlife and people.

We’re uniquely focused on the challenges that urban and suburban carnivores face, including habitat fragmentation, rodenticide poisoning, and human conflict. By addressing these issues through education, outreach, and direct care, we create lasting change that benefits whole ecosystems.

Your support helps us:

    •    Respond to calls about orphaned, displaced or injured wild carnivores

    •    Fund veterinary care, diagnostics, and humane rehabilitation

    •    Monitor individual animals and their families post-release

    •    Educate communities on how to prevent conflict and coexist peacefully

    •    Serve as a trusted community leaders helping cities and agencies align on humane, effective solutions for living with wildlife

Every donation supports wild lives and builds a more compassionate Texas.

Giving Activity

Mission

Our mission is to Create Coyote Coexistence. We seek to bridge the gap between communities and wild carnivores, especially coyotes, through education, outreach, and ethical wildlife rehabilitation.

Needs

As a small, volunteer-led nonprofit, every dollar makes a difference. Your support helps us:

-Provide urgent medical care and daily support for injured, orphaned, and displaced wild carnivores such as coyotes, foxes, and bobcats.

-Purchase essential supplies including food, formula, medical equipment, trail cameras and batteries to safely monitor wildlife.

-Cover lab testing and necropsy (animal autopsy) costs to investigate rodenticide poisoning and help prevent future deaths.

-Fund community education efforts through presentations, printed materials, and outreach events. We travel across the state to meet with neighborhoods, schools, and municipalities to teach science-based strategies for coexisting with wildlife.

-Respond quickly and compassionately to wildlife emergencies throughout North Texas.

Whether you give $10 or $1,000, your support helps us protect wild lives and promote compassionate coexistence. Thank you for standing with us and with them.

Equity Statement

At Song Dog Watch, we believe everyone deserves respect, kindness, and a place where they feel welcome—just like the wild animals we care for. No matter your background, identity, or story, you’re part of our pack.
