SNAP & CLAP (Special Needs Community Learning Adult Program) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities become truly anchored in their community.
We call our participants Anchors because we believe they bring hope, love, stability, and so much more to the people and communities around them.
SNAP & CLAP is the only program of its kind where every Anchor, particpant, spends approximately 75% of each program day out in the community creating opportunities for our Anchors to explore, volunteer, exercise, build friendships, and experience real life throughout North Texas and beyond.
These aren't simply activities. They are opportunities to learn, grow, build independence, make friendships, contribute, and belong.
Your support helps SNAP & CLAP continue creating these meaningful experiences and ensures our Anchors have opportunities to discover new interests, step outside their comfort zones, give back to others, and become more confident and connected in their community.
When you support SNAP & CLAP, you aren't just supporting a program. You're supporting an Anchor, and helping create a community where they are known, welcomed, valued, and truly belong.
