This year we invite you to give generously to support our ongoing commitment to quality programming!
Bringing dynamic speakers to the SMI Community is our goal. One which of course comes expenses - speaker fees, transportation, lodging, materials - which have all increased (some dramatically, like airline tickets) in recent days. We commit, as always, to carefully steward the funds we receive. Speakers fly coach and stay at reasonable hotels. We use nonprofit tax exemptions on hotel rooms and materials. And our volunteer board members often serve as their in-town transportation - and even offer airlines miles at times. All this to be able to bring you the best!

Spiritual Ministries Institute, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas.
We aspire to nurture the ministry of spiritual direction by offering continuing education, contemplative care, and a peer community for spiritual directors.
For the broader community of spiritual seekers, we offer an annual series of four programs under the banner: “Spirituality for a Busy World.” These varied programs offer opportunities for spiritual growth while highlighting contemplative life and practices.
Our speaker-led programs, workshops, and retreats are typically held at local churches, retreat centers, and occasionally online.
Spiritual Ministries Institute values contemplative life which leads to compassionate action. We promote ways of life and practices which lead us into relationship with and into direct experiences of the Spirit. We seek to offer programs which enrich and challenge us, engaging us both intellectually and experientially.

Because of increases in the costs of transportation, lodging, fees and materials for our speakers, we ask you to consider giving generously, so we may continue to seek out the most dynamic, quality speakers to bring to you.
We also will be working to increase the quality of amplification of the sound of our speakers' voices during programs, so that each person in attendance can clearly hear every word without strain. We will be utilizing a new sound system, and may need to purchase additional technology for this, as well.
