Mission

Shepherd Inn provides no cost and low cost housing and wrap around services to individuals and families seeking long term recovery from addiction and past trauma.

Needs

Our 2025 annual operating budget to provide housing and social services to a projected 265 adults and children per year in North Texas, plus two Thrift Stores and Workshops, comes out to $583,650.

We always need toiletries, cleaning supplies and bedding for our homes. We also love receiving gently used clothes and household goods! Those are always needed!

Our model of expansion since day one has been partnering with real estate investors, renting their properties at a discounted monthly rate, fully furnishing them and filling them up with women, men and children who are experiencing homelessness as a result from untreated trauma and addiction. We manage these rental properties across Dallas and Corsicana, giving people a second chance at life!

In May of 2025 one of those real estate investors partnered with us in a different way…they helped us purchase our first home on .7 acres of land in the city limits of Corsicana! This project will be Navarro Counties first Sober Community Complex owned and operated by Shepherd Inn - The Inn Corsicana! We have fundraised $30,000 of our $200,000 construction budget and with your help we can house hundreds, even thousands, of families seeking help!

Equity Statement

At Shepherd Inn, we believe every person deserves the opportunity to heal, rebuild, and thrive—no matter their background, identity, or life circumstances. Our work is rooted in dignity, compassion, and inclusion. We intentionally create spaces where women and families in recovery are met with respect, offered equitable access to housing and resources, and supported in removing barriers to long-term stability.

We know that addiction, homelessness, and trauma do not discriminate, and neither do we. Through our sober community housing, recovery programs, and wraparound support, we commit to advancing equity by listening to those we serve, valuing lived experience, and ensuring our services remain accessible, welcoming, and free from discrimination.
