At SCRPT, we serve up more than just meals — we deliver dignity, connection, and hope to over 750 at-risk seniors across Hunt County every single day. As the heart and hustle behind Hunt County Meals on Wheels and The Connection, we know that a hot meal can do more than fill a belly — it can remind someone they still matter.
This North Texas Giving Day, we're spotlighting our Milk Matters Campaign — because for our seniors, milk isn’t just a drink, it’s essential nutrition. Rising food costs and funding cuts have forced us to make tough choices, and for too many, milk has quietly disappeared from their plates. That’s where you come in.
Your donation helps us restore weekly milk deliveries to seniors who rely on us not just for food, but for survival. Together, let’s bring the comfort of a cold glass of milk back to the table — because nutrition shouldn’t be negotiable.
Our Needs
Too many seniors in Hunt County are quietly facing food insecurity. In fact, more than 1 in 4 older adults in our community lack consistent access to nutritious meals. For many of them, SCRPT’s Meals on Wheels program is not just helpful — it's essential.
But with rising food costs and continued funding cuts, we’ve been forced to make heartbreaking decisions — including the recent elimination of weekly milk deliveries. For our seniors, milk is more than just a beverage. It’s vital nutrition that supports bone health, muscle strength, and overall well-being.
Our Milk Matters Campaign aims to change that. With your help, we can bring milk back to the tables of over 750 at-risk seniors. Just $5 covers a full week of milk for one senior. That’s not just a donation — that’s nourishment, independence, and dignity in a cup. Our Milk Matters Campaign aims to change that.
