The Same Kind of Different as Me Foundation was launched from the overwhelming response to the New York Times bestseller, Same Kind of Different as Me. The true story of art-dealer Ron Hall and his late wife Debbie, whose dream transformed their lives and the life of their most unlikely friend — a homeless ex-con, Denver Moore. The foundation illuminates the ongoing struggles homeless people face daily. Through funding emergency needs for underfunded homeless shelters as well as helping individuals who struggle with homelessness find food and shelter, the foundation is making a difference in cities all across America.
“Nobody can help everybody, but everybody can help somebody.”
— Denver Moore
We envision a world where homelessness is met with dignity, compassion, and effective action—where every person experiencing homelessness has access to shelter, support, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives. Through our work, we strive to create communities where differences are celebrated, human connection transcends social barriers, and no one is forgotten or left behind. We see a future where the transformative power of authentic relationships creates lasting change for individuals and communities alike.
Together, we can make this vision a reality for our community. Please give today.
