We're thrilled to share that Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is getting an exciting boost across every stage at SMES! Our Early Learners are introduced to these foundational skills through Babydoll Circle Time, a nurturing, play-based approach by Conscious Discipline that helps our youngest Stars build empathy, connection, and self-awareness right from the start. As they grow, our PreK and Kindergarten Stars will now build on that foundation through Changemakers, a nationally recognized SEL curriculum from the Momentous Institute that deepens skills like self-regulation, perspective-taking, and perseverance. Through inspiring yearly projects, students will put these lessons into action, becoming true Changemakers in their own communities!
