Ruthie's Fueled by Good is a gourmet grilled cheese food truck and Cafe with a bigger purpose. As a mission-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit under the Good Foundation, Ruthie's serves up comfort food while creating real impact in our community. Through partnerships with nonprofits like Unlocking Doors, Ruthie's provides second chances by hiring individuals impacted by the legal system.
Second Chance Employer
As a second chance employer, Ruthie’s equips team members with valuable job skills through the Ruthie’s Fellows Program. During their program, fellows learn a range of skills in culinary, marketing, and restaurant operations while also participating in life skills training. In 2025, Ruthie's provided over 21,500 hours of second-chance employment through the Fellows Program.
The Cafe
Ruthie's Cafe is located at 1632 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Suite 100, in South Dallas. The Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM and for brunch on Saturdays from 8 AM - 2 PM. Every meal served extends the mission, provides second-chance employment, and gives back to the South Dallas community with proceeds benefiting St. Philip’s School and Community Center.
Ruthie's Fueled by Good serves gourmet comfort food with a purpose: creating second chances for individuals affected by the legal system through job training, life skills, and community support.
This year, our North Texas Giving Day funds will go toward an emergency resource fund for our Fellows — covering unexpected housing or transportation costs, and other necessities that can otherwise become barriers to steady employment.
