Rockwall Pets is a 501(c)3 rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of shelter dogs and cats using a variety of methods with the ultimate goal of contributing towards a no-kill nation.

Our Mission:

Our mission is to save every precious life possible. That’s why nearly every pet we offer for adoption was at risk of losing its life at a North Texas animal shelter. We believe in these pets, so we rescue them, give them full veterinary care, and then place them into loving homes. Your donation saves lives!

Foster-based program: As a foster-based rescue, Rockwall Pets is always looking for dedicated lifesavers, like YOU, to join our foster care team. Rockwall Pets provides all medical care, crates, food, toys, leashes, collars, etc. All you provide is a loving home until their forever family finds them or they go on one of our life-saving transports. Rockwall Pets has opportunities to fit many types of foster families.  Do you need some puppy breath or kitten antics?  You might enjoy raising very young puppies or kittens until they're old enough for adoption.  Do you have a knack for mending the broken?  Rehabilitating a sick or injured pet until they are ready to find a home may be more your niche.  Do you want to provide a loving environment to those pets that just need a little reassurance that this big world is okay?  You can do that too!  Do you have a limited amount of time to offer?  You could become a short-term "transport foster" for one of our life-saving out-of-state transports. As you can see, Rockwall Pets has many opportunities for any type of foster family you want to be.  By becoming a member of the Rockwall Pets foster care team, you could be saving precious lives in the comfort of your own home!

Rockwall Pets foster-based Rescue Program needs funding for:

Every day, Rockwall Pets and our amazing team of fosters rescue sick, injured, and homeless dogs and cats and bring them into their homes! The animals come in all shapes, sizes, and breeds! One thing all of these animals have in common is their need for your help!

Rockwall Pets provides a second chance for these sweet animals to find their forever homes! Some of these animals may come into our care injured, medically/physically needing extra care, or some just need a little time, love, and care before going out to adoption events to find their forever homes! This is where you come in!! By donating to Rockwall Pets, you can aid us in helping get these sweet animals the love, care, and resources they need while in our foster homes!

What Does Your Donation Go Towards?

• Vetting for all animals: All animals in our care before being adopted are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), and given the Bordetella vaccine.
• Supplies for all animals: Since being a foster home-based rescue, we use your donation money to provide supplies for our fosters such as food, leashes, collars, crates, kennels, bedding, heartworm medication, and so much more to keep our sweet animals happy until finding their new homes!
• Temporary boarding: We partner with an area boarding facility for when crises arise such as a foster emergency hospital stay, or living arrangement situations.
• A future facility: We do not currently have a facility, but we would love to have one, one day! All of the animals in our program are fostered in our amazing foster homes! The animals stay in their foster homes until adopted or leave on transport!
