Rideshare2Vote AWARE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to increasing voter turnout and engaging communities that are often left out of the political machine. Founded on the fundamental belief that empowerment and education are essential for a thriving democracy, Rideshare2Vote AWARE offers a range of programs designed to engage citizens and address the challenges facing voters today and transport them to the polls, every election - local, run-offs, specials, state and national.

  1.  AwareVoteRide is our voter outreach and transport to polls during local, state, national, run-off, and special elections. We target communities most likely to experience voter suppression.
  2. ADA Wheelchair Ride
  3. Community Partnership
  4. Corporate Civic Engagement

Given today’s supercharged political environment, helping nurture women and men to recognize and seize their moment to shape our future is perhaps our paramount contribution. Rideshare2Vote AWARE was launched in 2019 to do issues-oriented, non-partisan voter turnout work. Additionally, we conduct a remotely based, paid internship lasting 24 weeks each year to fulfill our mission. Rideshare2Vote AWARE participants also participate in professional development workshops and seminars to round out their experience.

Our Needs

Rideshare2Vote Aware is currently fundraising for

  1. Wheelchair Vans - Your donation goes to wheelchair van rentals in 13 states.
  2. Voter outreach to marginalized communities in states where suppressing the vote is happening.
  3. Technology to schedule and dispatch drivers to voters - we use an Uber/lyft style app to get voters to the polls seamlessly.

We need to raise $25,000 to achieve our goals for 2023 and beyond as we head into the critical elections in 2024.  Financial funds are needed to provide more wheelchair vans and transportation to the polls. Every election cycle, our ADA Wheelchair Ride program offers rides to the elderly and people with disabilities. With your help, we can provide more wheelchair vans and eliminate the barriers to voter suppression.

How we accomplish our goals

Our professional staff and internship program work together to accomplish our organization's goals. We educate and develop the next generation of activists. The organization provides interactive training programs and entry-level opportunities for high school and college students and young professionals who want to get involved in the political process. Rideshare2Vote Aware interns have the drive to make political waves rather than wait for the waves to happen around them. Their training culminates in outreach and successfully driving voters to the polls.

Then, our interns and staff reach voters year-round, educating them about elections, scheduling, and completing requested voting transport. We are a year-round voter outreach and transport organization moving the needle to increase voter turnout in 14 states.

Your donations go directly to decrease voter suppression and increase voter turnout.
