Help us continue to make beautiful music for our community.

The RCB's season runs from September 1 through August 31 of the following year. The full year Scope of our season incorporates FIFTEEN live concerts! So much more live music than any other professional or community band in the DFW metroplex! Our concerts include:

Two city events

Santa's Village - RCB ushers Santa Claus on a big red firetruck into Richardson's magical Santa's Village in Huffhines Park!
Richardson's Family Fourth - A fabulous hour-long patriotic concert which concludes with our National March - Sousa's Starts and Stripes Forever - immediately followed by the best fireworks show in the metroplex!

Seven indoor concerts by our full Band:

One children's spectacular at FUMC-Richardson
Two concerts at the Richardson Seniors' Center in a casual atmosphere
Four concerts at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson presenting challenging music which emphasizes sophisticated works that are best presented in a controlled acoustic environment.

Four within the Summer Park Concert Series now at the Huffhines Park Pavilion
Two featuring RCB's own Jazz Ensemble, RCBeboppers at FUMC-Richardson

Richardson Community Band runs a lean budget. All of our 70 members are volunteer and pay dues to perform in RCB, including our Board of Directors. We allocate funds primarily to rent facilities for our performances, compensate special guest performers and keep our library current with compelling, exciting and challenging musical selections for our band members and our audiences.

Mission

The mission of the Richardson Community Band is to provide high quality and challenging musical experiences for its members while educating and entertaining family audiences in Richardson and the Metroplex.
