Richard Martinez Cancer Fund

Assisting Law Enforcement Officers in their battle against cancer! 

A volunteer-run, 501(c)(3), non-profit organization, dedicated to paying the cancer-related expenses for law enforcement officers, so that they and their families can focus on winning the battle against cancer, rather than the financial cost of that victory.  

Founded in 2010, the Richard Martinez Cancer Fund (RMCF) was established to alleviate the financial burden of cancer treatments for law enforcement officers, after DEA Special Agent Richard Martinez, was diagnosed with Stage IV Kidney Cancer and could no longer afford the life saving cancer treatments that he needed. 

Since its inception, through your generosity, the RMCF has been able to cover all of Richard Martinez' medical expenses, along with the cancer-related medical expenses of numerous additional beneficiaries. Sadly, Richard lost his battle with cancer in 2019, and the RMCF was able to cover all of his funeral and burial expenses as well. 

In Richard's honor and memory, the RMCF continues to accept new beneficiaries and pay medical expenses for those officers, so that they and their families can focus on winning the battle, rather than the financial cost of victory. To date, the RMCF has covered more than $500,000 of cancer-related expenses for its beneficiaries.
