💜 More Than Surviving

Every woman deserves more than survival. She deserves the opportunity to heal, rebuild, and thrive.

When a woman escapes trafficking or sexual exploitation, her journey is just beginning. She needs more than a safe place to sleep. She needs compassionate care, trauma-informed support, meaningful relationships, and the opportunity to discover that her past does not define her future.

At Refuge for Women North Texas, we walk beside women from their very first night of safety through every step of healing. Our faith-based residential program provides emergency shelter, long-term restoration, job readiness, and ongoing support—all at no cost to the women we serve.

Because surviving isn't the goal.

Healing is. Independence is. Hope is.

This North Texas Giving Day, your gift will be doubled through our generous $40,000 Matching Gift Challenge, helping twice as many women move from surviving to thriving.

$50 becomes $100. $250 becomes $500. Every gift changes a life.

More Than a Safe Place

When a woman arrives at Refuge, she often carries the weight of unimaginable trauma. The first step is simple but life-changing: safety.

From our Emergency House to our long-term residential program, we provide immediate refuge, trauma-informed care, counseling, meals, transportation, medical care, and a community that reminds every woman she is seen, valued, and deeply loved.

But we don't stop there.

We believe every woman deserves the opportunity to build a future filled with purpose and hope.

More Than Healing

Healing opens the door to possibility.

Women in our program receive counseling, life-skills training, spiritual care, educational opportunities, and practical support as they begin rebuilding their lives.

Together, they celebrate milestones that once felt impossible:

  • Healing from trauma
  • Securing safe employment
  • Graduating from our residential program
  • Restoring healthy family relationships
  • Achieving financial independence
  • Moving into homes of their own

Every milestone is a reminder that transformation is possible.

More Than a Job

Meaningful employment is one of the greatest predictors of long-term stability.

Through Survivor Made, our survivor-led social enterprise, women gain more than a paycheck. They gain confidence, workplace skills, financial literacy, and the opportunity to create beautiful handcrafted leather goods in a safe and encouraging environment.

Every purchase and every donation helps provide dignified employment while equipping women to build independent futures.

Survivor Made isn't just creating products.

It's helping create new beginnings.

More Than a Donation

Your generosity provides more than housing or meals.

It provides the first night of safety.

The counseling session that begins healing.

The job that restores confidence.

The graduation that celebrates perseverance.

The apartment keys that represent independence.

The restored relationships that rebuild families.

The hope that reminds every woman her story isn't over.

Double Your Impact

This North Texas Giving Day, every dollar you give will be matched dollar for dollar through our $40,000 Matching Gift Challenge until the full match has been met.
