R.E.C. Treatment Center (Rehabilitation • Education • Community) is a nonprofit behavioral health organization dedicated to helping justice-impacted adults overcome barriers to recovery, stability, and long-term success.

R.E.C. Treatment Center was created from the belief that every person deserves access to quality care, regardless of their financial circumstances, criminal history, or life challenges. Our mission is to provide affordable, evidence-based substance use treatment, education, counseling, and recovery support services that empower individuals to rebuild their lives and strengthen their communities.

We specialize in serving adults affected by substance use disorders, involvement with the criminal justice system, probation or parole supervision, incarceration, and reentry into the community. Through a combination of individual counseling, group treatment, recovery support services, and educational programming, we help clients develop the skills and support systems necessary to achieve lasting change.

To increase access to care, all services are available virtually throughout Texas, reducing barriers such as transportation, employment schedules, childcare responsibilities, and geographic limitations. As a nonprofit organization, we also offer income-based fees and reserve treatment opportunities for individuals who might otherwise be unable to afford services.

In addition to outpatient treatment services, R.E.C. Treatment Center partners with local governments, courts, probation departments, and community organizations to expand access to recovery resources and reduce recidivism through evidence-based intervention and support.

Our name reflects our mission: Rehabilitation, Education, and Community. We believe recovery is about more than overcoming substance use—it is about restoring hope, creating opportunities, strengthening families, and helping individuals become active, healthy members of their communities.

Together, we are turning barriers into bridges.

Mission

We provide community-based outpatient counseling and recovery education services to adults impacted by the justice system.

Needs

R.E.C. Treatment Center is currently seeking support to expand access to substance use treatment and recovery services for justice-impacted adults throughout North Texas.

Many of the individuals we serve face significant barriers to care, including financial hardship, transportation challenges, housing instability, and limited access to behavioral health services. As a nonprofit organization, we strive to ensure that inability to pay is never the reason someone goes without treatment.

Donations will help us:

• Provide income-based and scholarship-funded treatment services for individuals who cannot afford care.

• Expand virtual treatment and counseling services, increasing access for individuals in rural communities and those with transportation barriers.

• Launch and sustain evidence-based substance use treatment programs for individuals involved in the criminal justice system, including probationers, parolees, and those transitioning from incarceration back into the community.

• Develop educational programming focused on relapse prevention, life skills, employment readiness, and long-term recovery.

• Strengthen community partnerships that connect clients to housing, employment, healthcare, and other essential support services.

• Support the implementation of innovative reentry and diversion programs designed to reduce recidivism and promote lasting recovery.

Every contribution helps create opportunities for individuals to access treatment, rebuild their lives, strengthen their families, and become productive members of their communities.

Equity Statement

R.E.C. Treatment Center believes that every person deserves access to compassionate, high-quality behavioral health and recovery services, regardless of their income, background, identity, life experiences, or involvement with the criminal justice system.

We recognize that many individuals face systemic barriers that limit access to treatment, education, employment, housing, healthcare, and other resources essential to long-term recovery and stability. We are committed to reducing those barriers by providing accessible, affordable, and culturally responsive services that honor the dignity and worth of every individual.

We strive to create an environment where all people feel welcomed, respected, and supported. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, socioeconomic status, or justice-system involvement.

Our commitment to equity extends beyond treatment services. Through community partnerships, advocacy, and outreach, we work to expand opportunities for individuals and families who have historically faced obstacles to care and support. We believe that recovery, rehabilitation, and personal growth are possible for everyone when access, opportunity, and community are available.

At R.E.C. Treatment Center, equity means meeting people where they are, removing barriers to success, and ensuring that every individual has the opportunity to build a healthier future.
