Since 2014, Raising the Standard Foundation (RTSF) has been dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders throughout Fort Worth and surrounding communities. Guided by our mission to Empower, Enhance, and Expose youth to opportunities that broaden their horizons, we provide programs and experiences that help young people discover their potential and build a path toward success.
Through the support of generous individuals, businesses, and community partners, RTSF serves as a catalyst for developing youth who are prepared for college, careers, military service, and lifelong leadership. Together, we are equipping future leaders with the skills, confidence, and experiences needed to make a positive impact on their communities and the world around them.
Raising the Standard Foundation's mission is to empower, enhance, and expose traditionally under-represented youth in Fort Worth and surrounding areas through educational opportunities, mentorship and scholarships.
Our Need
Raising the Standard Foundation is seeking funding to support and expand our three signature programs, each designed to equip young people with the tools, experiences, and confidence needed to succeed academically, professionally, and personally.
Girls' Math & Science AKAdemy
The Girls' Math & Science AKAdemy introduces girls to exciting opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Research continues to show that women remain underrepresented in many STEM fields. Through interactive workshops, career exploration, and exposure to STEM professionals, participants gain confidence, develop critical thinking skills, and begin to envision themselves as future innovators, engineers, scientists, and leaders.
High School Seniors' Recognition Program
The High School Seniors' Recognition Program celebrates and honors students who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and community service. In a time when many students face significant challenges on their path to graduation, this program provides recognition, encouragement, and positive reinforcement for their achievements. By highlighting their accomplishments, we inspire students to continue pursuing higher education, workforce opportunities, military service, and meaningful civic engagement.
Silhouettes Youth Mentoring Program
Silhouettes is a year-round mentoring and enrichment program serving girls in grades 5–12. The program focuses on leadership development, self-esteem building, cultural awareness, academic success, and personal growth. Through mentorship, workshops, community service, college and career exposure, and life-skills activities, participants develop the confidence and resilience needed to navigate adolescence and prepare for adulthood. Silhouettes creates a supportive environment where young women are empowered to discover their strengths, build lasting relationships, and become positive contributors to their communities.
Funding support will allow RTSF to provide educational materials, program supplies, meals, transportation assistance, scholarships, mentoring resources, guest speakers, and experiential learning opportunities that directly impact the youth we serve. By investing in these programs, donors help create pathways to success for young people while strengthening the future of our community.
