Ruth's Room was established for the express purpose of supporting Habitat for Humanity of Denton County. This December Ruth's Room will celebrate 20 years of operation. In this time we are pleased to say we have donated over $2, 110,000
to the Denton County affiliate. We are basically a volunteer run organization with 3 full time employees and 1 part-time.
HfHDC has just completed and dedicated its 103rd house. This means over 103 families who could not have otherwise afforted it, have become first time home owners. Ruth's Room has been a partner in this effort for nearly 20 years.
Habitat for Humanity of Denton County is selling the property that Ruth's Room has been operating out of for over 16 years. Ruth's Room has offered HfHDC a Letter of Intent to purchase the building. Our goal is to raise money to help with the down payment which we anticipate being $125.000.
