Forest Lane Academy PTA supports some of the most amazing students in Dallas! Our students and families come from 25 countries around the world, and represent more than 13 languages. Forest Lane Academy is unique in that there are no houses within the school's attendance zones, so more than 99% of students who attend live in an apartment, an extended-stay hotel, or are lacking a regular night-time residence. Additionally, more than 94% of students enrolled qualify for Free or Reduced Lunches. Because of this, the Forest Lane Academy PTA is seeking funding to provide students with experiences on campus, and around the DFW Complex that they may not otherwise get to experience. These experiences include, but are not limited to, field trips, on-campus celebrations, and STEM-based events. Additionally, the Forest Lane Academy PTA would like to provide the school staff with experiences and celebrations to recognize their commitment to the students and families, every day.

Mission

The purposes of Forest Lane Academy PTA, in common with National PTA and Texas PTA, are:

- to promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and throughout the community;

- to raise the standards of home life;

- to advocate for laws that further the education, physical and mental health, welfare, and safety of children and youth;

- to promote the collaboration and engagement of families and educators in the education of children and youth;

- to engage the public in united efforts to secure the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social well-being of all children and youth; and

- to advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars in public education funding.

Needs

Forest Lane Academy PTA is seeking funding to provide students with experiences on campus, and around the DFW Complex that they may not otherwise get to experience. These experiences include, but are not limited to, field trips, on-campus celebrations, and STEM-based events.
