Gunn Junior High PTA

A nonprofit organization

The Gunn Junior High PTA is a passionate community of parents, educators, students, and supporters dedicated to strengthening and celebrating Gunn Junior High’s unique Fine Arts & Dual Language community.

As Arlington ISD’s only Fine Arts & Dual Language junior high academy and a proud Title I campus, Gunn is home to students with diverse talents, backgrounds, and experiences. Our PTA works to support every child through family engagement, student programs, teacher support, advocacy, campus events, and community partnerships that enrich the educational experience for all.

From celebrating our educators to supporting fine arts opportunities, hosting family events, funding student experiences, and building connections across our community, the Gunn PTA exists to help every Gator thrive.

Together, we are building a welcoming, inclusive, and engaged school community where every student has the opportunity to succeed.

Mission

The Gunn Junior High PTA exists to support, advocate for, and empower every student, family, and educator at Gunn Junior High. Through meaningful family engagement, community partnerships, and student-centered programs, we work to strengthen our Fine Arts and Dual Language community while helping every child reach their full potential.

Needs

Gunn Junior High is a vibrant Title I Fine Arts & Dual Language campus with diverse academic, cultural, and extracurricular needs. Our students thrive when families, educators, and community members work together to provide equitable opportunities, strong advocacy, enriching programs, and supportive campus experiences. Continued support is needed for student enrichment, fine arts programming, family engagement initiatives, staff appreciation, leadership development, and accessible opportunities that allow every student to participate and succeed.

Equity Statement

The Gunn Junior High PTA is committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment where every student and family feels valued, respected, and supported. We believe all children deserve access to opportunities, resources, and experiences that help them succeed, regardless of background, language, identity, ability, or financial circumstance. We strive to remove barriers to participation, celebrate the diversity of our community, and ensure every voice has a place at the table.
