Project Uplift

A nonprofit organization

Our work is grounded in the belief that education and community engagement are essential pillars of a thriving society. We strive to:

  • Bridge generational divides

  • Break down social barriers

  • Foster mutual understanding, collaboration, and resilience

  • Build a foundation of hope, growth, and unity for all who call North Texas home.

Project Uplift DFW envisions a vibrant, intergenerational community where urban youth are exposed to diverse industry pathways, and older adults thrive through meaningful social engagement and community involvement.

Mission

Project Uplift, mission is to empower the future and enrich the present by providing innovative educational programs that introduce inner-city youths to diverse industries. Through immersive experiences and mentorship, we aim to broaden their horizons, cultivate essential skills, and inspire a passion for lifelong learning.

Simultaneously, we are committed to enhancing the lives of older adults in our community. By fostering social engagement and offering a range of community activities, we seek to create a supportive and environment that promotes wellness, connection, and a sense of belonging.

Needs

In the heart of South Dallas and surrounding underserved communities, far too many youth face limited exposure to educational opportunities, career pathways, and positive mentorship. Simultaneously, many older adults in these same neighborhoods experience isolation, lack of purpose, and disconnection from community life. These dual challenges hinder both generational progress and communal well-being.

Project Uplift DFW exists to bridge these gaps. We recognize the urgent need for programs that not only provide hands-on educational support and life skills for youth—but also foster intergenerational connection and purpose for older adults. Our work addresses educational disparities, generational isolation, and the cycle of poverty through innovative programming in areas such as:

Tutoring and mentoring

Life skills and career exploration

Health education and first aid training

Community service and mission outreach

Social engagement for older adults

However, to continue meeting the increasing demand for these services, we need sustained financial support. Funding is essential to expand our reach, equip our volunteers, provide necessary resources, and ensure our programs remain free and accessible to the communities that need them most.

With your help, Project Uplift DFW can continue to invest in futures, uplift generations, and transform lives—one family, one child, and one senior at a time.

Equity Statement

At Project Uplift DFW, we are committed to advancing equity in every aspect of our work. We believe that all individuals—regardless of race, age, gender, income, education level, ability, or background—deserve access to opportunity, dignity, and community.

We recognize the deep-rooted systemic barriers that disproportionately impact underserved communities, particularly in South Dallas and other historically marginalized areas. Our programs are intentionally designed to break down these barriers by creating inclusive, intergenerational spaces that uplift youth, empower older adults, and bridge social and economic gaps.

Equity for us means more than fairness—it means actively working to remove obstacles, expand access, and ensure that every voice is heard and every need is met. We listen, we learn, and we lead with compassion, believing that sustainable change happens when all members of a community are given the tools, support, and encouragement to thrive.

Project Uplift DFW is proud to stand for justice, inclusion, and opportunity—for all.
