Help us protect the birds and the habitats they love.
For more than 45 years, Prairie & Timbers Audubon Society has brought North Texans together around a shared love of birds and a commitment to protecting the places they call home.
But our work goes far beyond birdwatching.
Your gift helps support conservation and habitat restoration, bird monitoring and community science, environmental education and research, scholarships, and local organizations doing important work for birds and wildlife across North Texas. Over the years, PTAS support has helped make possible everything from native prairie restoration and bird banding to student research, raptor education and opportunities that introduce young people to the wonder of birds.
We also believe those opportunities should be accessible to everyone. PTAS has no membership dues, and our meetings, bird walks, field trips, educational programs, and other activities are offered to the community without participation fees.
That means your support isn’t simply appreciated. It’s what makes our work possible.
North Texas continues to grow, making the protection of birds and the habitats they depend on more important than ever. With your help, we can continue doing this work today while inspiring a new generation to care for our feathered friends tomorrow.
Today, we’re asking you to join our flock.
Whether you give $10, $25, $50, $100 or more, every gift helps protect birds, preserve the places they depend on and keep our education, conservation, and community programs going throughout the year.
Every bird counts. Every gift matters. Please give today. 💚🐦
Prairie & Timbers Audubon Society brings people together to enjoy, understand, and protect the birds and natural habitats of North Texas.
We support the preservation and restoration of wildlife habitat through financial support, volunteerism, and partnerships with North Texas conservation organizations, including the Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary, Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge, Connemara Meadow Nature Preserve, Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area, and Blackland Prairie Raptor Center.
We inspire people of all ages and experience levels to discover the joy of birds and the importance of conservation through educational programs, bird identification classes, beginner bird walks, field trips, community science, and other opportunities to learn and explore.
And we invest in the future of conservation by providing scholarships that help educate the next generation of wildlife and environmental professionals.
Through conservation, education and community, we’re working to ensure that North Texas remains a place where birds, wildlife and people can thrive for generations to come.
