40 years ago, Powered to Move Founder set out on a 5605.8 wheelchair trek from Fairbanks, Alaska to Washington, DC, Mike King, a paraplegic came home with a growing love for adapted sports and a growing faith and desire to serve those with physical and intellectual disabilities.
After years of competing on an elite level in wheelchair sports, Mike is on a new adventure with his wife Sharyn. It’s called Powered to Move (P2M). To learn more about our awesome programs visit – www.poweredtomove.org.

Powered to Move – Rolling On Campaign
Since 2013, Powered to Move has empowered individuals of all abilities by providing access to adaptive fitness, social connection, and life-changing resources.
In 2024, we opened the doors to the P2M Community Center, where we’ve built an inclusive space—complete with adaptive fitness classes, a micro-gym with specialized equipment, and community-building events like game nights and social gatherings.
For over a decade, we’ve been rolling forward with one mission:
“To put Christ’s love in action by creating spaces for people with disabilities to move, connect, and thrive.”
Now, we’re asking for your help to keep the momentum going.
Your gift supports our vital programs:
Adapted fitness classes and AMP’d Camp
Transportation to and from activities
Handcycling & Wingman Racing
Social events that build confidence, friendships, and joy
Help us continue the vision.Help others move, connect, and belong.
👉 Give today to keep us Rolling On—because everyone deserves the chance to move forward.
