At Positive Alternatives, we create and implement unique initiatives that equip young people to be successful at achieving their goals and empower them to make a difference in our community.  We are a small organization, making a big impact in our youth's lives.

A few of our initiatives include: Entrepreneurs Showcase (entrepreneurship discovery and training); Summer Reading with A Twist; Positive Behaviors In School (our anti-bullying initiative); Reading for Understanding (our reading comprehension initiative); and Let's Get Lit...A Reading Experience.

Our Life Skills initiatives include: Financial Education; College Readiness; Landing That Job/Career (resume building; interviewing skills, and apprenticeship program).

We are dedicated to providing educational opportunities and experiences to children, youth, and families, empowering and equipping them to make a positive impact on their families, communities, and the world.

Our Vision: We envision every child, regardless of their economic background, having access to the opportunities and tools they need to receive a quality education, achieve success, and positively impact their community and the world.

Needs

We are looking for local business owners who are willing to give of their time and talent to work with our youth entrepreneurs.

We need financial institutions to facilitate workshops for our youth.

We need books to distribute to our students during our literacy programs

We need funding to keep our programs running.
