Giving Activity

Mission

The club's mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for Plano West youth lacrosse players and provide a competitive environment for High School players to compete at the highest levels of lacrosse, through virtues of team spirit, healthy competition, and sportsmanship.

From top to bottom, the entire program is supported by the Plano West Varsity and Jr. Varsity coaches. This allows players to learn the same quality message each year as they mature through the Plano West system all the way through high school.

Needs

Plano West Lacrosse is 100% volunteer-led and fully funded by player registration and donations. To cover the costs of game and practice logistics, it is imperative to have full rosters at the youth and high school level. Without any funding from the school district, the Club has to cover costs through player registrations and fundraising. It is a constant challenge to keep player registration fees manageable while also being successful in attracting new players to the sport. With a high cost to entry, including player equipment, gear and uniforms, the price to play can be difficult for many to absorb. This North Texas Giving Day, we are aiming to raise $10,000 in order to keep player registration fees low, attract new players to the sport, and grow the sport of Lacrosse in West Plano and Texas. Every dollar raised helps us provide a strong program that will allow the Club to help these young men experience growth, challenges, success and perseverance both on and off the field. 🥍💙🐺

Equity Statement

At Plano West Boys Lacrosse, we believe the game should be accessible to all. We are committed to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment where every player, regardless of background, race, ethnicity, ability, or financial means, has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed both on and off the field.

As a 100% volunteer-led, non-profit organization, we work to keep fees as low as possible and provide opportunities for all athletes to participate. We recognize that growing the sport in West Plano depends on removing barriers to entry and ensuring that every player feels valued as part of our Wolf Pack.

Together, we strive to uphold the values of teamwork, respect, and equity so that lacrosse can continue to thrive for future generations.
