The Plano North Metroplex (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has been working and serving in the community for 35 years.  Driven by our members' compassion and heart for service, we continue to do the work that impacts our community.  Our vision is to positively impact our community.

Our goal is $10,000 this year.  Help us continue our important programs which include:

  • Scholarship program for deserving college students
  • Educational programs like NSBE Jr and STEAM especially targeting children of color
  • Annual Plano Christmas Cops Program
  • Back-to-School Program that provides school supplies and backpacks to families in our community
  •  Supporting our local food banks like Minnie’s Food Pantry and the North TX Food Bank
  • SWAG (Securing Wisdom And Grace) our award winning mentoring program for girls in grades 6-12 which is entering its seventh year
  • Providing dental care and education via our Dental Van in partnership with the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures initiative

Some of our other community activities include educating the community regarding the importance of voter registration and increasing the awareness of local black-owned businesses.

We also supported a local black owned daycare that has been in existence for 50 years with items during the height of the pandemic.

Programs and Service are the heart of our chapter - our primary mission.
