Love People. Tell Stories.

Plague Mask Players was founded as an inclusive outlet for professional performers to share their craft while disregarding gender, age, and race in the virtual world of 2020. In 2025, we have now built a strong community founded on the values of empowering, supporting, and developing theatre artists in Dallas, TX.

If this sounds like something you’d like to be a part of, we need your help to keep pursuing our mission! By donating you will be playing an instrumental role in building a better community for artists in DFW. Your donation will pay for renting rehearsal and performance venues, costumes, sets, props, lighting and sound equipment, scripts, as well as other operational expenses. To get involved, please give today to support the arts and help make our dream a reality! To further support us and keep up with our journey, follow us on Facebook and Instagram. We are so excited about the bright future in store for Plague Mask Players, and hope that you'll join us in making it happen!

Giving Activity

Mission

To love and support a diverse community of artists and foster their growth through theatrical productions, educational opportunities, and innovative programming.

Needs

1. Funding our next LIVE production! Plans are underway for another reimagining of a literary classic set deep in the heart of our own backyard: Texas! This story will showcase a diverse ensemble of local actors and explore themes of parent-child relationship dynamics, generational wealth, and the all-mighty forces of Mother Nature. But as the saying goes, “Everything’s bigger in Texas,” so we need your help bringing this epic vision to life! Donations will go towards costs for our performance venue, rehearsal space rental costs, cast and crew stipends, costumes and props, set materials, script printing, marketing, and more.

2. Supporting our first-ever community mixer! This one-night-only event will showcase local LGBTQIA+ talent as they explore themes of longing and desire found in the original text of popular classic works. The event will serve to build community and celebrate the radical joy of queer love.

3. Operational Expenses: Per month, our expenses include $30 for our website, $75 for insurance, and $150 for our storage unit. Plus additional expenses for workshop spaces and teaching artists.

Equity Statement

We were founded on the principle of loving our community well. We strive for greatness in our art that includes diverse and beautiful voices. It is our job to continually strive to conquer our inherent biases and work to be more anti-racist in all that we do. We are committing ourselves to promote equity, inclusion, diversity, and care of our community in every production we produce.
