Can you imagine going through life in constant fear or insecurity? There are members of our community that live life like this every day. Veterans and First Responders have given their all to us, often with devastating results. Pine Trees Counseling Center believes it doesn't have to be this way. Our community's Veterans and First Responders deserve our support.

There are few programs in our community that provide holistic and effective trauma-focused therapeutic services. It's been too long since anyone working with these populations has taken a step back and questioned the normal process and treatments. Despite extensive research showing that traditional trauma treatments can be more detrimental than helpful, there has been little reform. Pine Trees' mission is to fill the void of effective treatment. Our counselors are constantly looking for more training for better treatment modalities. We believe everyone deserves a brighter future, especially our Veterans and First Responders. We believe holistic, therapeutic services do not need to break the bank. We believe we can fill the gap in our community.

Even a single session of Equine Assisted Counseling or Accelerated Resolution Therapy can dramatically change a Veteran or First Responder's worldview positively. Studies have shown that individuals can complete an entire course of treatment in as little as 5 Accelerated Resolution sessions. This is significantly fewer than other trauma treatments. A donation of 75$ pays for a session of Accelerated Resolution therapy for a Veteran, First Responder, or a family member. By donating just 75$, you can initiate a significant difference in our community.

Mission

To heal the servant leaders of our communities from the traumas they endure while protecting us.

We encourage treatment for the whole family - no one is left behind.

Needs

Our number one priority is to care for our community members who gave their all for us. All the money we raise from North Texas Giving Day will go toward a scholarship fund to support Veterans, First Responders, and their families to receive effective, progressive, and holistic mental health care.
